VNCI PT3G is a Porsche-focused diagnostic interface designed for supported PIWIS workflows. This installation guide covers the interface driver and device-manager preparation; it does not replace the licensed Porsche diagnostic software, account access or official repair instructions.
Download the VNCI PT3G package
Sign in to the official VNCI download area and obtain the current VNCI Device Manager/PT3G support package for the interface. Package versions can change, so use the current account download instead of an archived driver from an unknown seller.
VNCI PT3G driver installation
- Close PIWIS and all other VCI/device-manager applications.
- Extract the complete official archive and run the included setup with administrator permission.
- Restart the Windows system if requested.
- Connect the PT3G to the computer directly with USB.
- Open VNCI Device Manager and verify that the device identity and firmware information are displayed.
- Complete any required firmware update over USB without interruption.
- Start the supported PIWIS environment and verify that the expected interface is selected and online.
- Test vehicle identification before starting coding or programming.
PIWIS software and driver are different
The VNCI driver allows Windows and supported diagnostic software to communicate with PT3G. It does not activate PIWIS, provide online credentials or guarantee coverage for every vehicle and operation. Confirm the vehicle generation, software environment and permitted online functions separately.
PT3G troubleshooting checklist
- Use a known-good USB data cable and avoid a hub during setup.
- Check Windows Device Manager if VNCI Device Manager does not display the interface.
- Close competing VCI applications before repairing or reinstalling the package.
- Resolve driver and firmware status in VNCI Device Manager before changing PIWIS settings.
- When the VCI is visible but the vehicle is not, verify vehicle voltage, the diagnostic connector and application coverage.
VNCI PT3G product
See the VNCI PT3G Porsche Diagnostic Tool. Customers requesting installation assistance should provide the 1XOBD order number, PT3G serial information, Windows version and a screenshot of VNCI Device Manager.
Safety: Use regulated battery support for Porsche programming work and never interrupt an active control-unit update.
