The VNCI JLR DoIP interface supports diagnostic communication for compatible Jaguar and Land Rover workflows. Correct installation requires the matching OEM/VNCI driver, a successful USB test and the appropriate licensed JLR application for the vehicle generation.
Download the JLR DoIP driver
Obtain the current JLR OEM driver and VNCI package from the official VNCI downloads portal. Sign-in may be required. Keep the complete installer package together and avoid driver archives whose hardware source or version is unknown.
How to install VNCI JLR DoIP
- Close SDD, Pathfinder/TOPIx-related applications and other VCI managers.
- Extract the full official download, then install the supplied driver and VNCI device manager.
- Restart the computer if setup requests it.
- Connect the VNCI JLR DoIP directly via USB for first detection.
- Open the device manager and confirm its serial number, firmware and USB connection.
- Complete a prompted firmware update without removing power or USB.
- Open the JLR diagnostic application appropriate to the vehicle and verify that the interface is available.
- Run a vehicle identification/communication check before attempting any programming operation.
SDD, Pathfinder and newer workflows
The diagnostic application is selected by vehicle coverage and the official service workflow; an interface driver alone does not supply SDD, Pathfinder or TOPIx credentials. Confirm vehicle model year, application coverage and account access before scheduling the job.
Troubleshooting connection issues
- Start with USB even if the final workshop setup will use WLAN.
- Check Windows Device Manager when the VNCI manager cannot find the interface.
- Temporarily close other PassThru/VCI managers to prevent driver conflicts.
- Verify that the JLR application is configured for the correct communication interface.
- For DoIP communication, check the network adapter and firewall rules only after USB detection and driver health are confirmed.
