Important: EPCWire is a desktop application only. It does not include browser-based or web access. Customers who prefer to work directly through a web browser should purchase the separate ETKA and ELSA WEB product.

VAG ETKA electronic parts information

The VAG ETKA section helps workshops and parts professionals research supported electronic parts-catalog information. It can be used to navigate vehicle groups, identify part references and review VIN-related catalog information for supported Volkswagen Group vehicles.

Always confirm the part number, vehicle equipment, production date and local-market applicability before ordering or installing a component.

ELSA wiring online information

The ELSA wiring section provides supported online wiring-information workflows inside the EPCWire desktop application. Technicians can use it when tracing power supply, ground, CAN/LIN communication, connectors and signal paths.

Wiring information must be used together with correct vehicle identification and professional electrical measurements. EPCWire does not replace workshop safety procedures or technician training.

Supported workshop use

EPCWire is suitable for legitimate automotive workshops, diagnostic specialists and parts professionals working with supported VAG brands such as Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda, SEAT and other covered Volkswagen Group vehicles. Exact data coverage can vary by vehicle, market and production date.

Activation email is required

Before adding EPCWire to the cart, enter the email address that will be used inside the desktop application. This dedicated EPCWire Activation Email field is mandatory and can be different from the billing email.

We will create and activate EPCWire access for the exact address entered in this field. The activation email is saved with the cart item and order so our team can prepare the licence correctly. Check the spelling carefully before completing the purchase.

Windows and computer requirements

• EPCWire supports Windows 10 and Windows 11.
• Older Windows versions are not supported.
• Virtual machines, VPS desktops and other virtualized Windows environments are not supported.
• The same EPCWire subscription can be used on up to two different physical PCs.
• The daily allowance remains a total of four VIN searches for the subscription; using two PCs does not create a second VIN quota.

Both computers should use the same EPCWire Activation Email registered with the order. Before purchasing, verify that each physical PC meets the Windows and internet requirements.

Desktop or web—which should you choose?

• Choose EPCWire if you want VAG EPC and wiring access from a dedicated Windows desktop application.
• Choose ETKA and ELSA WEB if you prefer browser-based access without installing the EPCWire desktop application.
