Bentley Component Protection removal is an authorized ODIS online adaptation for supported protected control units used in a legitimate Bentley repair. Vehicle configuration and module compatibility must be checked carefully before scheduling the job.
Bentley-specific pre-check
Send the Bentley model, year and VIN when requested, together with the control-unit address, part number, software information and complete diagnostic report. Explain why the component was replaced and whether the installed unit is new or used. Do not assume that a physically compatible connector means the module is eligible for online adaptation.

- Confirm reliable VCI communication with the complete vehicle.
- Use stable internet and keep the laptop powered.
- Save original configuration and diagnostic information.
- Resolve communication or hardware faults first.
- Keep the vehicle available until the final scan is complete.
Scope of Component Protection removal
The procedure addresses the eligible Component Protection adaptation only. Further coding, parameterization, calibration or software work may be required for the replacement module. These operations depend on the Bentley vehicle and repair plan and should be confirmed before ordering.
